About Cozy Catch

• Cosy Catch is a retired eel-fishing cutter lovingly transformed into a floating tiny house full of charm and stories. Originally built for the Bricklink Designer Program, this submission finds a new berth on LEGO® Ideas with its softened hull curves, deck flowerpots, and cozy personal touches—a tribute to reinvention, warmth, and drifting serenity.

LEGO® Model Highlights

• Interior access: Slide-open cabin doors and roof hatches reveal a snug inside with a galley, reading chair, day bed, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping cabin
• Function-focused play: Features include a freely steering rudder, spinning propeller, retractable tool cabinet, and stern davits with deployable RIB (inflatable boat)
• Characterful décor: Displays include flowerpots, a sunbed, a mischievous kitty named Boots, and a seagull called Gulliver who’s convinced the boat is still fishing
  

The Build

• Crafted with both display and buildability in mind, Cosy Catch uses a flipped-build technique to create a fluid, gap-free hull shape that avoids blocky transitions. Designed fully with existing elements, it’s ready-made for LEGO® production—no new molds needed. A vessel of gentle nostalgia and modern creativity—a floating retreat in brick form.
