About Goin’South

  • Goin’South takes you aboard the shrimp boat captained by Churchill Evans and Bella O’greed. Constructed in 1:40 scale, the model captures both life at sea and shrimping hustle—from the deck's rigging and shrimp crates to the cozy twin-berth cabin below the wheelhouse.
  • Initially built as part of a larger harbor diorama ("Brickton Harbor") in 2017, the standalone model was resubmitted to LEGO® Ideas in 2023 after upgrading to fully LEGO-compatible strings and mechanics.


Model Features

  • Detailed minifig environment: Accessible wheelhouse with radar, lighting, liferafts, and exhaust pipe
  • Realistic interior: Twin bunks for resting crew below deck
  • Shrimping deck rig: Winches, shrimp hatches, boom arms, rigging, crates, and even crab minifigures
  • Modular hull: Splits into waterline base and upper structure for diorama flexibility
  • Included minifigs: Churchill and Bella, plus 2 seagulls and 3 crabs
